Saturday morning found us considering our options for the day. We wanted to get out of the house for a little adventure and sunshine so when we got a call from our neighbors/in-laws/best buds (aka...Shelley and Tyler) to join them on a mini road trip up to Mount St. Helens, we happily hopped on the caravan.
Audrey clearly is NOT impressed with the magnitute of the mountain...haha.
She does, however, enjoy her sunglasses. :)

Ryan and Tyler had visited this A-frame cottage when they were just little tykes years ago. It sits several miles away from the volcano "blast" zone. The family that owned this place was days away from completing its construction when Mt. St. Helens erupted back in 1980. It survived a tree going thru it and was cemented in with a mixture of ash and mud. What was once probably meant to be a family oasis, has now become a little piece of history.
Sunday afternoon was a perfect cap to a great weekend. Some friends hosted a bbq for our little GROWING church! :)
